does anybody know where this pic comes from? it was posted in a blog under the name of eniko and caption says it was taken during a testino’s shooting in time square… maybe an unpublished pic from her latest us vogue editorial? or maybe it’s just my memory to start to get old…

anyways, daria is featured in another french magazine: the issue of the 10th of july of elle. title of the little interview is une nuit avec daria (a night with daria). i’m not even commenting all the recent interviews cos i find some pieces so surreal that it’s definitely better if i keep my mouth well shut. the telegraph one has some interesting pieces, i’d like to know more about her ‘existential wake up’, but… okay,we’d better enjoy this new preview. hopefully some french reader will scan the page (it’s time to buy a scanner for my precious french source!!! 😉 haha). i hope there’s some unexpected transgenderism in the elle picture.

before adding new parts to the pirelli romance, let’s enjoy this graceful unknown chanel advertisment that img uploaded in the renewed daria page. i saw it 2 days ago, but my intention was to solve the mystery before posting about it. now i see it was posted at tfs, so maybe a public appeal is better: does anyone know where and when it comes from?

this picture is very beautiful imo. there’s something classical and elegant that i honestly prefer to any pirelli pastiche. actually that’s the other side of daria’s work that i like: a genuine fashion modeling with no focus on sexiness. and please note the early 20th century reference, like a renewed modernism that recovers the origins of chanel myth.

and who’s behind such a perfect meeting of chanel and miss daria werbowy? karl lagerfeld?

[btw, how should we interpretate the new daria image chosen for the img entry page? why among all the beautiful recent shots did he agency just choose the one where she’s lying naked with segura? is segura an img model too? or did they want to make the gender daring – dark – ambiguous charme of our daria heterosexually reassuring? too bad that the image is cut on daria’s close up, so she’s so fierce and dominant there that she almost scares visitors. again, a clumsy strategy for the sake of money? in any case, again, body wins]

turning 25… or getting into models’ menopause!!

you know, sometimes i think that when it comes to supermodels we have to count years more or less like we do when we refer to cats and dogs! every dog’s year is like 5 human years, every cat’s year is like 7 human years… so, a supermodel turning 25 must be like a human being turning… 75?! if you start reading glamorama by bret easton ellis you’ll see that narrator’s top gf says she’s 25, which means 105 for a model!!
